Had a trip scheduled for 2 clients last night at Lake Lewisville for catfish
and because of the looming storms they decided they wanted to stay closer
to home so we hit Eagle Mountain Lake
Perfect night on the water and was great July night as I was
wearing jeans and a t-shirt and was actually cold at times.
Found the fish in shallow water and it was ON! We fished from
9:30 PM to 1:00 AM and caught right at 45-50 fish with most being between
1.5 and 3 pounds but several in the 4 pound range. Equal mix of channel
catfish and blue catfish. All fish caught on Sure Shot Catfish Punch Bait
on rod and reel.
Kept 20 of the larger fish for them to eat today and released
the rest of the 13-15" fish to catch another day.
