I got tired of messing with rubberbands to hold the line at the depth I was fishing, so I rigged my jugs with clips. I use the redneck style jug, pvc with a foam noodle around the top. I found some "roach clips" or alligator clips from Hobby lobby and connected them to the bottlom of the pvc w/ a touch of gorilla glue and a zip tie. I wrap all my line around the pvc right below the foam and when I am at the depth I need, just pinch the line with the clip and its ready. The clips are very cheap and hold the line very well, I have not had a fish pull the line loose yet.
