Some of you deep east Texas fellows might be asking that question this weekend. I'll give you a hint.

The Bayou City Crappie Club will be at Robinson's Lodge on Toledo Bend this weekend. We aren't a large group but, if you single us out, some of will be considered large. We'll be having our club year ending shindig sort of hoot and holler and crappie catchin' bonanza.

If you're in the area and know where I'm speaking of, swing by one evening and say hi.

Bayou City Crappie Club December 2006 Tournament

December 09, 2006
Lake Toledo Bend
Huxley, Texas

The BCCC members went to Robinson's Lodge on Toledo Bend for the final tournament of 2006. Not all of the members were able to make the trip but those that did enjoyed a great time fishing together for 3 consecutive days.


Conditions:
Cold! The temperature at the 7:30 start time for the tournament was 22 degrees with a wind from the north at less than 5 mph. Surface water temperature was 47.7 degrees and the clarity was turbid.

Results:
Money Winners

1st Place: LJ Shook and Shane Davis 10.79 lbs
2nd Place: Jim Butz and Randy Wolf 10.75 lbs
3rd Place: Greg Gamble and Terry McRoberts 10.28 lbs

Non-placing results
4th Place: Ken Sheffield and Dave Harrison 9.88 lbs
5th Place: Gerald Sandlin and Guest 9.66 lbs
6th Place: Ron Canaster and Don Wilcox 9.33 lbs

Big Fish results
Butz and Wolf 2.40 lbs
Shook and Davis 2.08 lbs
Gamble and McRoberts 1.94 lbs
Canaster and Wilcox 1.77 lbs
Sheffield and Harrison 1.71 lbs
Sandlin and Guest 1.61 lbs

Statistics:
42 of a possible 42 fish were weighed in by 6 teams. Total weight was 60.69 lbs with an average individual weight of 1.45 lbs.
