Area_Fished: From Jefferson,TX towards Caddo Lake.
Overall_Rating: Fair
Species: Channel Cats
Devices: Rod and Reel
Depth: 10 to 15 Feet
Baits: Shad, Shrimp, and Livers.
Qty_Caught: 10 to 15
Additional_comments: There was a 2 day bass tournement on
"Pines"
this past weekend,so we decided to fish the river. We had a pretty good
rain the night before, and was hopeing that there would be some new run
off.
Alas, it was not to be. The fishing was slow, and the fish were
scattered.
The fish that were caught were nice eating size cats. We would pick up
one
or two fish at a hole, and then have to move to another. The Chicken
Liver
was the bait that the fish wanted. Good Fishing!! Fish-Tales

Water_Body_Fished: Big Cypress Bayou
Water_was: Stained
Area_Fished: From Jefferson,TX towards Caddo Lake
Overall_Rating: Good
Species: Channel Cats
Devices: Rod and Reel
Depth: More than 25 Feet
Baits: Shrimp, chicken livers, and Cut Shad
Qty_Caught: 15 to 25
Additional_comments: The river is still quite high. We
fished the washout
holes in the river. Some of these are over 40 feet deep at this time.
The
fishing was pretty slow for the first few hours. We finally stopped
where
a feeder creek was running into the river. The first bite was a 10
pound
blue. These feeder creeks became the pattern for the day. The shrimp
were
the preferred bait today. We would catch 2 to 5 fish at the mouth of a
creek,and
then move to another. The fish ranged from 1 to 10 pounds. Good
Fishing!
